| Follow Jesus by Helping Others |
Jesus Christ provided the perfect example of love and service throughout His ministry. He taught that to love God and to love others are the two greatest commandments, that we should love and serve even our enemies, and that when we serve others, we are serving God.
He taught that those who will have an honored place at God’s right hand in heaven will be those who fed the hungry, cared for the sick, and otherwise helped those around them.
As the Savior prepared to suffer and die for all of us, He met with the Twelve Apostles He had called to lead His Church. During that last supper together, Jesus knelt and washed the feet of each of His Apostles and taught them that they should serve each other with equal humility.
When you serve others as Jesus did, you will not only bless their lives but experience more joy in your own life as you become more like the Savior. |

| The Lost Sheep |
Jesus was often criticized for spending time with society’s outcasts. When prominent religious leaders questioned why He ate with those they deemed to be unworthy sinners, Jesus answered that those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do.
Jesus taught that every soul has great value and that we should treat each other accordingly. His parable of the lost sheep helps emphasize the point.
When a man with 100 sheep loses one, He taught, that man will leave the 99 sheep together to search high and low for the lost sheep. And when he finds that sheep, he will tell his friends to rejoice with him.
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance” (Luke 15:7). |
